The Jefferson Township Ruritan Club was founded in 1957 by a group of gentlemen who wanted to form an organization that could do good things for the small community.
Over the past 50+ years many good things have come about. The town is now beautifully adorned with American flags on national holidays, there is a wonderful annual celebration during the 4th of July holiday that brings back generations of families for days of fun and nostalgia, the local elementary school children receive special treats at Christmas and Easter, many citizens as well as organizations are are supported financially...and the list goes on.
We would love to increase our membership during 2015. If you'd like to apply for membership, please see any current Ruritan member for information. Feel free also to contact any of the officers or a board member.
